OBAMA IN A LANDSLIDE
The last prediction I made I my blog was about the future of the boy who lived, Harry Potter for those not in the know, and it blew up in my face. Luckily no one reads my blog so my secret is safe. Today is the last day of the primaries. And I wanted to get this out before Obama official wins the democratic nomination. I am hoping it will be tonight.
I was listening to a podcast of Tony Kornheiser where he and Howard Fineman were discussing the race and telling each other what a hard time Obama is going to have when Hillary is winning this state and that state at the end. How is he going to bring her supporters on board and about all the problems he is going to face and I have come to the conclusion that it is all bullshit.
Obama in a landslide.
I feel the only way it won’t be a landslide is if he does one thing which is put Hillary Clinton on the ticket. If her assassination remark had one good consequence is that she will not be asked to join the ticket. For all those women like Harriet, who is making the rounds for her outburst on the internet, talk radio and the cable shows, they will fall in line. Nothing was taken away from Clinton she lost. The superdelegates voted for the candidate who won the most delegates. Period end of story. And he got the most votes too regardless of what Clinton says. Does anyone really believe that these women who were standing up for their female champion are ,when November comes, going to vote for a man who wants more war , thinks Roe vs Wade should be overturned, thinks that Alito and Roberts and Scalia are just the best judges around and has so many lovely anti women votes in his past that are going to be made into some interesting 527's in the coming months.
McCain has a problem with lobbyists , including one who precipitated the mortgage meltdown, and has voted to support 43's policies 95% of the time. So much for the Maverick. McCain voted against the minimum wage hike which 75% of Americans supported. He thinks that the free market will fix the health care problem. He has anger management problems, confuses details like Sunni and Shia and says while we are heading into a recession that he ”really doesn’t understand economics”.McCain has more than a few problems and I haven’t even begun with the problems he has within his own party.
25% of republicans are still not voting for him. He has literally done something to piss off each of the prominent factions within the republican party. The pro war wing doesn’t trust him because of his stance on immigration, the corporate wing doesn’t trust him because he has voted against tax cuts, the evangelicals are suspicious because he once call their leaders agents of intolerance and those Bob Barr/Ron Paul republicans seems to just hate him. The republicans are already losing safe seats in the house special elections (3 so far) and enthusiasm and turnout in the republican party is low.
One more time Obama in a landslide.
The picture that is painted in the media about McCain is far to genial. America has yet to meet the real McCain and on the other side the media has spent months debating and rehashing every questionable dealing Obama ever had and yet they are pretty much tied in the polls with Obama being slightly ahead.. I literally can’t wait for the debates. A young energetic Obama looking to the future against McCain acting confused and holding on to the past. 81% of Americans thinks the country is going in the wrong direction and John McCain picks this year to flip flop on all of his previous held moderate positions to get his party’s nomination and in the process lost any chance he had to win. America is longing for change and McCain isn’t it.
Obama in a landslide
